Shameless Fixation # 7 – Dita Targa (Dita Eyewear)
In my never ending quest to improve my masculinity, I come across things that I can’t go without. Of course it is often eyewear, of the aviator kind. My object of affection right now is Dita Targa, and that affection is shameless. They have been seen on several celebrities, including Usher.

Other than looking fantastic, the quality of Dita Targa is incredible. I tried it out for size the other day and the shape quite nicely fits my head. The frame is handcrafted Zyl acetate, the temples are titanium, there is a spring hinge on them (so they fit all shapes and sizes of people) and they are manufactured in Japan, known internationally as one of, if not the best, places for high-end eyewear.

Shameless Fixation # 6 – Prada Sunglasses PR01GS (PR 01GS)
In an airport recently a pair of shades caught my eye with a frame like nothing I’ve seen before. They were Prada sunglasses and it’s the first pair of Prada I’ve really liked for myself.

I like the 3/4 width frame and it sat really well on my face. Fitting for sunglasses is very important, and these are well designed. Maybe I should pay more attention to Prada sunglasses. Hmm…

Shameless Fixation # 5 – Oakley Gascan Polished White

I’ve got to say that I’ve had many different pairs of Oakley Gascan sunglasses in my hand, and I’ve come close to getting them before, but just never did it. The Gascan is a very streamlined yet simple design. It almost looks like a fistful of hurt. I’ve got a narrow but long skull, however it fits very nicely and is extremely lightweight. My favourite feature is the temples. When you fold the temples in, they fold in steps. It’s a very cool and subtle feature. I would have to recommend the polished white shade as shadows hit them really nicely and the square O sticks out beautifully.
This pair retails for about $90.

Shameless Fixation #4 – Barton Perreira Spindler

The small detailing is what separates this from all the others on my mind now. The mesh they have put on it could be taken as tacky if not done well, but it’s all class with Barton Perreira. This model means business. If anyone has it in their heart to donate me a pair, let me know.

Shameless Fixation #3 – Dita's Splendour
Ok, so I write a lot about Dita here, but there is good reason for it. They are making some of the best sunglasses right now in both design and quality. They are made in Japan, whereas a lot of the bigger name brands have been made in China for years. They have been popular with celebrities for some time now, and with designs like this they’ll only get more popular.

Shameless Fixation # 2 – Tom Ford’s Ford Sunglasses
It seems as though Tom Ford’s genuine focus on the sunglasses line of this year has paid off. They are selling well everywhere and for good reason. They put an incredible amount of time into not only the design and materials, but the color matching is excellent as well. The detailing on the latest collection is not over the top and is in fact quite subtle. There are no large logos anywhere, but some “T’s” are found here and there, like on the bridge of the model below.

I tried these on at a shop the other day and wearing them gave me the closest look to celebrity I’ve ever had, which, granted, is not saying much, but I still felt like money. If I had the wallet of a celebrity I would buy them right away to complete a vintage look. This pair goes for over $300 in the U.S., so I’m accepting donations as of now.

Shameless Fixation # 1 - Dita Eyewear and Cazal Vintage 902
Right now my shameless fixation is Dita and Cazal’s collaborative re-release of the vintage 902. Gaze your eyes:

This is the sharpest style I’ve seen in a long time. The lines are so slick and incredibly cut. A lot of work was put into this model. Cazal and Dita are both known for their intricate frames and this one is no exception.
