New Dita Frame - Dita Challenger

Yesterday Dita released a new men’s style called the Challenger. The shape is very aviator and quite masculine, but there are some fine details in it as well. At the bridge there is a nicely cut “V” opening, and the patterned titanium pieces are sharp. Also classy are the enamel inlays that you can see on the top of the frame and on the temples.

Dita Challenger - Matte Black

The three colorways are Antique Silver, 12K Gold and Matte Black and they are very nice. Personally, I think the Matte black give this style are very prestigious look.

Sunglasses in the Movie The Hangover – Blublocker Aviators

A surprise hit in the box office this past weekend, The Hangover it is supposed to be hilarious. It’s being discussed as a break-out role for Zach Galifianakis (a mouthful of a name) and displays great chemistry between the main actors.  There are a great number of back stories throughout the movie and there is even talk of a sequel.

The Hangover Sunglasses - Even good on the baby

Zach Galifianakis apparently steals the scene many times in The Hangover. The sunglasses he wears have been identified as the one and only BluBlocker aviators. Many people know this brand from their late-night infomercials and low prices.

Lady Gaga Sunglasses – Vintage Versace 676

There probably isn’t a more popular singer right now than Lady Gaga.  Her music is a celebration of pop, and she does the shock art incredibly well.  Her wardrobe is so well done, it sometimes outdoes her music.  Sunglasses are of course a big part in this, and she’s got a massive collection.  Today we’ll present the pair I’ve seen on her most often, which are Vintage Versace 676.

Lady Gaga Sunglasses - Vintage Versace 676

To get one thing straight, these are not the Just Dance sunglasses.  I’ve scoured the earth for them and nobody knows what they are.  They are very similar to the Versace pair, but not the same.  If you watch the video you’ll see that the gold band across the lens is different.  If I find out what they are, I’ll post that too.

You have to love her boldness in everything she does.  I’m sure it is easy for her, but getting dressed like that is only for the brave.  Despite her flash and popularity, she’s very down to earth in interviews and comes across as a cool girl.  I hope she sticks around.

Tyga Sunglasses in My Glory Video

Up and coming rapper Tyga has a new video out for the first single off his new record.  The track is called “My Glory” and he is wearing sunglasses in the whole video.  What do you think of the beat?

I was asked by a reader to figure out what pair they are, and they are definitely Louis Vuitton Bindi sunglasses.  This style was released as a limited edition sometime in late 2006 or early 2007 and will be hard to find now.  It’s quite creative, actually placing a bindi into the frame of the sunglasses.

Louis Vuitton Bindi Sunglasses - Feeling Hindu?

If you want this pair you will have a long search ahead of you.  Also, the original pair was $600 so now they may be even more.  I’d suggest looking through Louis Vuitton’s 2009 sunglasses styles if you like their design.

Paris Sunglasses – Paris Hilton Launches Sunglass Brand

Just this week Paris Hilton has released her own line of sunglasses at the International Vision Expo in New York.  Gripping Eyewear will be producing the sunglasses which all will boldly say, “Paris” on the temples.

Paris Hilton Sunglasses - Not a bad shape

Apparently there will be a large number of styles available, but I’ve only seen her modelling the own above, and I don’t have the name for it.  It’s actually an interesting shape.  It’s almost like the temples were designed completely separately from the front of the sunglasses.

Right now there is no information on pricing, but hopefully we’ll get that soon.
