Ray-Ban Colorize – Paint Your Own Wayfarers

In an attempt to keep the popularity of the Wayfarer in the last few years going, Ray-Ban is releasing a version called “Colorize” which is a kit that includes white frame and a variety of markers.  Now you can use you art skills to color Ray-Ban sunglasses and make a pair that no one else will have.

I going to need to get someone to color mine for me

With brands like Super releasing the Wayfarer in a multitude of different colors, Ray-Ban is a little late, but this is still an interesting idea.  No word yet on the price.

This is a really unique idea. I wonder if it will fly? I personally love the idea of coloring my own sunglasses, but to really make use of the concept (i.e. not just making them one solid color which seems to defeat the purpose), I think it might be too psychadellic for everyday looks (for me anyway). At any rate, kudos for originality.

Interesting concept, but the reason I pay for this stuff is so the professionals can design it *for* me. If I'm responsible for colorizing my glasses I can guarantee two things: they'll be hideous; and it'll look like a retarded child's failed home decorating experiment. I can't match colors for shit. Go being male!

I'm the same in the way of artistic skills. I'm thinking of getting a pair and having someone else do it. If it's not paint-by-numbers, I'm lost.

The fail was the markers or your artistic skills?
