Resident Evil Afterlife Sunglasses - Albert Wesker (Help Me)

Resident Evil Afterlife is about to be released and the word is the 3D is over the top.  I've even seen a "making of" promo video which claims they didn't put much gimmicky 3D scenes in the movie, but the trailer alone is full of them.  Most obvious (??) is the Mission Impossible-like scene where the sunglasses are thrown right at the screen.  It's so similar to that scene (except it's the bad guy this time and not Tom Cruise) that I thought it would be Oakley again.  Taking a look at the pictures, it's obviously is not Oakley.  The sunglasses are thrown by Albert Wesker.

I need your help!  I can't figure out what these are.  There are no markings of any kind.

Comment your guess or re-tweet!!

Hello knut,

Thanks for your input. Lindberg is a good guess for shape and simplicity, but I'm not sure it is them. I checked their latest styles - no luck. Might be right that it's Japanese

They remind me of a recent Police model, although I wouldn't rule out them being a custom made for the character.

Hi Mini!,

Wow that is very close. The lens shapes and frame is identical, but the temples are slightly different.

Seems like they wouldn't use a custom frame for such a key scene. Never know.

I've checked around online a bit and the consensus is that they're customs made for the character and not based off a real model. I actually saw the props auctioned off on another site.

Thanks Mini,

I saw the auction you are talking about as well. Seems hard to believe that they would use a custom pair, but I'm thinking you are right.

Thanks for helping out.

If anyone has more information about this pair let us all know.

Ali,

Wow. So when sunglasses aren't available to buy, people start hand making them? Crazy.

They look perfect.
