Tom Ford Sunglasses Ad "Vulgar"

According to the Institute for Advertising Self-Discipline (IAP), one of the recent advertisements for Tom Ford’s collection in 2008 is “vulgar”.

Perhaps it was a lack of sales or interest which sparked the “controversial” ads to be made, or a true quest for art, but either way, the ads had already been published in several magazines before the ruling came. Despite the best intentions of the IAP, this probably got a lot more coverage for the ads, and those ridiculously large sunglasses.

I really don’t think it is that controversial, especially coming from a country where nudity is more commonplace in magazines.
